Our Philosophy

Learning Through
Competition

AIAT is built on the principle that the most effective learning happens when students are challenged to apply knowledge under real competitive pressure. Rather than passive instruction, every stage of the tournament is designed to push participants to think, build, and fly — transforming theory into tangible skill.

From designing and launching gliders to navigating complex flight scenarios in professional simulators, students develop technical competence, teamwork, and confidence through hands-on competition — not just coursework.

Vision

To inspire and empower future aviation professionals by building a global community of skilled students.

Mission

To offer students practical learning, aviation challenges, and networking with industry professionals — through structured competitive experiences aligned with the STEAM curriculum.

AIAT 2024 Take-Off Ceremony

Students gathered for the opening ceremony, marking the start of an intensive multi-month aviation competition.

Glider Launch Challenge

Glider Launch Challenge

Teams put their aerodynamic designs to the test in the live glider launch event — engineering meets competition.

Simulation-Based Training

Simulation-Based Training

Expert-led sessions on professional flight simulators prepare students for the competitive flight challenges.

Competition Events

Three pillars of challenge

Each event tests different skills — from engineering and theory to hands-on piloting — ensuring a well-rounded competitive experience.

Glider Wings Design & Launch Challenge

Teams design, build, and present their glider wing concepts through video presentations and Q&A sessions. The challenge culminates in a live launch event where aerodynamic designs are put to the test.
