Aerosim International
Aviation Tournament
Where students learn by competing. Multi-stage aviation challenges across Hong Kong, Macau, and Kuala Lumpur — culminating in fully sponsored real flying hours in Australia for the Grand Champions.
Our Philosophy
Learning Through
Competition
AIAT is built on the principle that the most effective learning happens when students are challenged to apply knowledge under real competitive pressure. Rather than passive instruction, every stage of the tournament is designed to push participants to think, build, and fly — transforming theory into tangible skill.
From designing and launching gliders to navigating complex flight scenarios in professional simulators, students develop technical competence, teamwork, and confidence through hands-on competition — not just coursework.
Vision
To inspire and empower future aviation professionals by building a global community of skilled students.
Mission
To offer students practical learning, aviation challenges, and networking with industry professionals — through structured competitive experiences aligned with the STEAM curriculum.

Event Highlights
Moments from past tournaments

AIAT 2024 Take-Off Ceremony
Students gathered for the opening ceremony, marking the start of an intensive multi-month aviation competition.

Glider Launch Challenge
Teams put their aerodynamic designs to the test in the live glider launch event — engineering meets competition.

Simulation-Based Training
Expert-led sessions on professional flight simulators prepare students for the competitive flight challenges.

Competition Events
Three pillars of challenge
Each event tests different skills — from engineering and theory to hands-on piloting — ensuring a well-rounded competitive experience.
Glider Wings Design & Launch Challenge
Teams design, build, and present their glider wing concepts through video presentations and Q&A sessions. The challenge culminates in a live launch event where aerodynamic designs are put to the test.
Aviation Theory Knowledge Test
Participants apply knowledge gained from seminars and aviation courses in a comprehensive theory assessment covering aviation fundamentals, meteorology, navigation, and aircraft systems.
Flight Simulation Challenge
The core competitive event — students fly aircraft in professional flight simulators, testing their piloting skills in a simulated flight environment with tier-based ranking.
Tournament Categories
Two tracks. One tournament.
AIAT
The main tournament track for secondary school students. Compete in teams of 3–5 across multi-stage events including glider design, aviation theory, and flight simulation challenges. Battle for the AIAT Champion title and the ultimate grand prize.
Young Wings
Designed especially for elementary school students, AIAT Young Wings is an introductory aviation experience that sparks curiosity, creativity, and a love for flight from an early age.
Real Flight Training in Australia
Bronze, Silver, and Gold Grand Champions earn a fully sponsored opportunity to accumulate real flying hours in Australia — turning simulation mastery into genuine cockpit experience.
2026 Schedule
The complete journey
From the opening ceremony in February to the grand finale in July, AIAT 2026 spans six months of learning, building, and competing.
Take-Off Ceremony
Opening event with introduction from organisers. Seminar 1, Aviation Course 1 & 2.
Aviation Course 3 & 4
Continuation of expert-led aviation workshops and theory sessions.
